Shreyas Iyer (Punjab Kings Captain): "[On chasing 200-plus totals easily] Obviously, there is a worry before getting onto the field. But the way we started today, I think it was an exceptional start. Priyansh and Prabh doing the job at the start and setting the bench for us going inside. I feel that the way they have been batting for years now, it stabilises the rhtyhm for us.
[On all batters chipping in] I am glad that everyone is getting to bat in the first two games itself. It gives us confidence. Whenever we are stuck in a pressure situation, people know how to go about it.
[On discussions with batting group] It is not planned. But we just decided inside the dressing room that we want to impress each other rather than anyone outside. Certain sort of clarity as well.
[On Priyansh Arya's start] Absolutely. Getting 39 off 11 balls, that is the start you need chasing 208.
[On how to keep motivation up on batting tracks] I think it was a belter to bat on. The way we started, it was 25 off 3 overs and suddenly they picked from there. Overrate is something we need to look at. 5 fielders coming in the last 2 overs is the only part we need to look at.
[On Chahal] I feel that we all know how good Dube is against spin. There were many domestic players who are good against spin. Yuzi we know how impressive he is over the years. He is one of the best bowlers in IPL. Whenever I am in doubt, I go to him."

[On his road from Delhi Premier League to IPL] Yes, there is a little bit of a level up from DPL to IPL. Because here, we have a lot of experienced bowlers. So, there is a bit of a difference. The more I trust myself, the more I believe in myself, and it is better for me.
[How does he practice?] I do proper practice. I bat two sessions in a day. Those sessions are 1 or 1.5 hours each. I do love batting.
[About his family members doing teaching] My family background is of teachers, and my sister is also a teacher. Sometimes I think I could have been a teacher too.
[On whether he will become a teacher now] Absolutely no chance now (chuckles)."
